Stabbing on Barclay Ave.

Police are seeking a suspect who allegedly stabbed a Worcester man twice in the chest this morning.
According to police, at about 6 a.m. the 46-year-old victim was sitting with a woman in an apartment at 39 Barclay Ave. when a man entered and started punching the victim. When the two were separated, the victim had been stabbed and the suspect fled. The woman transported the victim to St. Vincent Hospital where he was treated for stab wounds and a collapsed lung. He is in serious but stable condition.
Police said the suspect’s identity is known, and detectives are working on obtaining warrants. Police did not release the suspect’s name.
