Fare increases on MBTA?

Commuters could be looking at a potential 15%-20% increase in fares on the MBTA this fall, even if the state plugs some of that agency’s overwhelming debt.

According to Boston.com, Transportation Secretary James Aloisi said the increase – which would hopefully stave off other increases for the next few years – will go through a public process along with other options, including possible service cuts.
