Looks like police fears that marijuana decriminalization would lead to fewer major weed dealer busts are, well, a bust. According to the Telegram,
Sgt. Early said as the officers approached the car, they detected the strong odor of marijuana. They ordered the men out and searched the car. They allegedly found nine 1-pound bags of marijuana in the trunk. They arrested the men and went back to the business, secured it, and Officer Kellen Smith got a warrant to search it.
They also searched a green Mercury Villager van parked by the back door and allegedly found 10 1-pound bags of marijuana in the rear of the van.
Total haul: 19 pounds, $16,722 and a handgun.
