See if your street might be part of a $20 million facelift

Posted by Jeremy Shulkin

Tomorrow night at 6:15 the city council subcommittee on public works  (comprised of councilors Paul Clancy, Joe Petty and Kate Toomey) will decide which city streets and sidewalks will be redone as part of the $20 million street and sidewalk improvement program. Signage, tree planting and water services will also be augmented. As you may recall, some of the money to finance this program came from the council voting in favor of dipping $2 million into the city’s tax levy.

In a report from DPW head Robert Moylan to the subcommittee, he provides a list of streets to be considered, they’re length, cost and how much each district councilor can allocate for their area ($3.3 million).

Read the report here and find out about your street. Mine’s not on the list.
