CSX’s Environmental Notification Form now online, ready for public comment

CSX’s Environmental Notification Form, which details their proposed freight yard expansion in Worcester, has been submitted to the state’s Executive Office of Environmental and Energy Affairs. The EOEEA will look at their report and decide if what CSX has proposed is cause for a more thorough and lengthy Environmental Impact Study.

Read the report here.

This is an important period, especially for the project’s backers and detractors, as it’s now open for public comment. Read through the ENF and make a public comment following these instructions. The commenting period closes Dec. 13.

Another one in for November (2011)

Following Konnie Lukes’ sort-of-maybe-kind-of-hint last month that she’s interested in running for mayor again, another challenger has come forward, this time aiming for Joff Smith’s district 1 council seat.
