We don’t often post police/crime reports here on Daily Worcesteria, but sometimes we just can’t help ourselves.
22 year-old Justin Fontaine did not do the necessary scouting work when attempting a purse snatching early this morning on Pleasant Street, according to police.
75 to 100 feet away from the struggle a WPD Officer Paul Letourneau was investigating a report of vandalism when he heard a woman yell for help and saw Fontaine run off with her purse. A foot chase ensued, which ended when Fontaine met up with an eight foot tall chain link fence.
He has been charged with Unarmed Robbery, Resisting Arrest and Disorderly Conduct.
