Lt. Gov. Murray goes to school

Tomorrow (Wednesday) Lt. Gov. Murray will be at Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical School in Charlton at 8:15 to show off a $399,000 grant from the MA Clean Energy Center that will help the school build and assemble a 900 kilowatt wind turbine on their property. For those of you keeping score at home, Holy Name’s turbine is 600 kilowatts.

Beshai withdraws from sheriff race

It was only two weeks ago that Frank Beshai formally announced his entrance in the Worcester County Sheriff’s race, but citing personal reasons he’s decided to withdraw before his fundraisers started.

His departure is significant because the only other Republican in the race, Holden State Rep. Lew Evangelidis, will now have a primary-free run, barring some unforeseen eleventh hour entry.
