It’s that time again: The 4th annual Turtle Boy Music Awards voting.
We’ve once again put a lot of time into this year’s ballot, enlisting a large team of nominating judges to help us assemble the candidates, and spending countless hours determining who best fits where. It’s a truly outstanding collection of bands, acts, and musicians on the ballot, as always.
And if you don’t like our nominations, feel free to write-in candidates as well. Over 4,000 fans cast votes last year; we’re expecting more than 5,000 this year.
Winners will be officially announced September 17th, and the Music Awards night (throughout the Canal District once again) will be on September 24th.

Hey Zoback, ya gotta dead link… “Sorry, the page you are looking for does not exist”
Why don’t ya do this in the fall or spring when the students are here? Those are the animals that financially support the Wusta bar scene right?
And if 5k vote, that’s only 2.9% of population. Not quite statically significant don’t ya think? I don’t get the feeling that this is on the up-and-up.

Thanks Will—should be fixed.
The issue with the college students was a simple one this year: do we have them vote, and not let them be here for the event, or do we have the event when they’ll be around. We went for the latter; that doesn’t mean it will always be this way.
