No Slogan Day is upon us.
This Thursday, we’ll carouse all night in celebration of just one day with no Worcester slogans.
Slogans are a Worcester epidemic that need to be eradicated, and we’re proud, in conjunction with Worcesterite.com, to be doing our part.
Thursday night, we’ll be down at The Dive Bar on Green Street, celebrating “No Slogan Day” with amazing live music and even better craft beer. A limited number of will be available for sale — these things are sick, one-of-a-kind, and are going to go fast. Make sure to grab one early.
And remember, “NO MORE SLOGANS!”

Will I still be allowed in if I wear my “Paris of The 80’s” tshirt to the No Slogan Day celebration?
The auction @ University Park Lofts is slated for Thursday morning. I’m sure by the evening I will be in severe need of some fine craft brews!

Slogans you will not escape from, even at the bar:
“The King of Beers”, “The beer that made Milwaukee famous”, “The Banquet Beer”, “The Champagne of Beers”, “Gotta little Captain in you?”,”You can just ask for Jack”, “It’s Miller Time”, “Time for a Ganzette”(remember that one?), “Fresh From Our Mouth To Yours.”
Don’t shit yourself, it may be impossible to avoid slogans. Oh, on your way there, don’t forget to turn off your car radio.
Nice idea though.

Luckily, the Dive Bar doesn’t serve any of those beers.
And – for this year at least – it’s just Worcester slogans we’re concerned about.
Next year, we’ll go nationwide.

There’s no “H” in Worcester…
I can keep going until Thursday, right?

I’m bringing my digital recorder to the Dive Bar, and will include any sober, adult comments on slogans (or anything else) on this week’s 508 podcast.
Any drunken comments will appear (unattributed) on episode #40, the Drunk Dialing Show.
