Worcester: Right place, Wrong as hell time
Jump to Comments
Don’t believe Worcester is the worst marketed city in America?
Check this out.
Worcestermass.org, a site dedicated to marketing the city and events, hasn’t been updated since….oh, 2006 or so. The site touts the “new for 2006″ Worcester Sharks, the 2007 Summer Nationals, and hasn’t posted a new press release since October 26, 2006. That entry? One touting the CitySquare development agreement.
Well, at least that’s not out of date.

It’s also good to know that the new Voke school is “On target to meet its scheduled opening in 2006″

Oh, and there’s a nice rendering of the “proposed” new courthouse telling if all the nice things that will happen there when it is finished.

Scott, I think you’ve got it wrong. This isn’t a live marketing website. This is a *time capsule*, that we can open in 20 years and see all the wonderful things that were happening back in the “mid-aughties” in Worcester. And besides, there’re saving the Internet Archive people (www.archive.org) time to keep from having to update their site, and space on their server.
