We’re out…kind of

We’re out…kind of.
A parent who wanted to speak, but didn’t get to, is giving her speech on the floor, technically off the record.
We’ve had a deficit since 2002, she says.
“I’d love to see the same level of passion for education [as you had for Stomski].”
“It’s not just about this year…it’s 6 years at a deficit.”

Orders under suspension

Palmieri: What’s the reason and timetable for the change in polling places?

UniverCity Partnership breaks up

The UniverCity Partnership is done. the UCP was the highly touted project that was designed to get colleges to spend more money in the city, or at least build up university/city/neighborhood ties at an economic level.
“This is a good example of how things can be solved,” says Kate Toomey, adding that they essentially “put [...]

WOMAG SHUTS! April Fools and Council Preview

April Fools Day and the Internet seem made for each other.  And while no one matched Google’s Wake Up Kit, Custom Time, or  Mar’s journey, there were several great attempts, including the fake Economic Development newsletter that claimed Worcester as the world’s next great Megalopolis, and declared that Worcester was the “virtual” home for dozens [...]
