Ralph Moberly, the founder of Ralph’s and the man responsible for reopening the Corner Lunch, has passed away from a heart attack. This is sad, sad news for Worcester; Ralph was, as much as anyone, responsible for the creation of “Wormtown.”
We’ll update with more information as it becomes available.
THE END OF AN ERA!
Rest in Peace Ralph! You brought a lot of great music to and made a lot of great memories for Worcester! You gave the unwashed masses a place to call their own, Thank you.
Long Live Ralphs!
He was overrated.
Sad, Sad day.
Ralph was a great guy. As far as club owners went, he was the one I felt “got it”. Treated us like kings, even though we were punks.
Ralph was a close and dear friend.. I can’t say how sad I am at his passing.. He had a love for life that everyone should model.. I will miss him and his friendship forever…
RIP Brother
Alot of good memories from Ralph’s and of Ralph in the early 90′s. Some not as clear as others. He always said hi to you like he was glad to see you even though he had no idea who you were.
Eat at Ralph’s, Live Forever.
What can we say about Walph, only that he was the
only person that could alway make you happy and teach
you something. We are so priviledged to have been a
part of his life and we will miss him forever.
Wait till they see him in Heaven……..
God Bless you Ralph I will consider you my Angel
Love the O’s
What a great man…always made me smile…must have been the sarcastic remarks…Becky
Ralph gave Worcester a place to go and forget the constraints of everyday life and just “be”. I, like many others spent a lot of time at Ralph’s and treasure those times.
Take care, Ralph!!
With the passing of Ralph, a little of Worcester history passes as well. When I was a salesman and needed an order, he gave me one. When I needed a job, he gave me a job. He was good to me.
He will be missed.
