Maybe a rumble too.
Some good stuff on the agenda:
- Mayor Lukes is all about the freezes. Last week, she raised the possibility of freezing salaries. This week, she’s bringing an order that asks what the cost savings would be from an “immediate job freeze,” excluding the next police and fire classes.
- Last year some councilors (including Rick Rushton) bitched when Mayor Lukes raised the spectre of selling city assets. Tonight Councilors Rushton, Germain, Toomey and Rosen are raising the same issue, asking for a cost/benefit analysis of “the sale of city-owned assets including real estate.”
- Toomey and Germain also want the city to review the traffic congestion at Starbucks Coffee on Shrewsbury Street and “recommend solutions in the interest of public safety.” Umm, guys? Public safety is important, but traffic means people are actually going to a business; that’s not a bad thing.
- And Joff Smith – jumping on the “make CSX actually do something for the city” train, wants the company to clean up their tracks along West Boylston Street. (And, um, add some damn trains, right Joff?)
- And much, much more chocolaty goodness. Tune in after 7:30; we’ll be right here. (In the mean time, go vote for the Best of Worcester.)

I do not think CSX owns the tracks in Greendale. FRom Railroad.net

The P&W owns from CP-45 on the CSX Boston Sub (B&A) to the switch for the Gardner Branch at Norton Company.PanAm owns from there.

Can Joff Smith first do something about the mess at 799 West Boylston St? The bus port and the front of that place needs a dumpster. The place is filthy and lucky for me the wind brings the trash right up my road.
