Public officials everywhere will deny it, but the unspoken truth is that red light cameras, like those proposed in Worcester, have a dual purpose: Not only do they serve as a deterrent and punishment system, they are fantastic for bringing in dollars without having to use those pesky traffic cops.

Tornadoes their own bracket busters
The Tornadoes are a national contender, albeit in a different sort of contest.
CNBC is running a “best minor league logo” contest, with the Worcester squad garnering a #9 seed. Today, they’re pitted against the #8 Clearwater Threshers, a logo that features a stylized shark swallowing a baseball.
