CitySquare demolition a year or more away

City Manager Michael O’Brien, in response to Phil Palmieri’s CitySquare question: “Indeed, I’ve been meeting with Mr. Park…we met [last week] one-on-one….looking to adapt to the larger regional and national trends.” O’Brien says they’re attempting to move towards demolition. “What I’ll tell you is I expect to bring the adjustments to [the agreement] in the next 30 days.” 12 to 18 months from now for demolition and basic infrastructure construction says O’Brien, is a “reasonable estimate.”
He is talking about a “Phase 1A” to get demolition done before other parts of the project proceed.
