Lancaster fire video

With the Lancaster Street fire now officially being called an arson, today’s Telegram reported that officials were hoping to speak to the person who posted this video on YouTube under the alias “Stevethepyro.”

It’s a bit of a change from last week, when officials told the T&G that, “The name caught our attention, but it appears they were students just out that night.”  In that article and on his YouTube profile, the poster says that the handle is just a leftover screen name from high school.

It’s the right stuff, baby

OMG, the best manufactured-sensation to partially come out of Worcester is back!

Brush up on you’re “Right Stuff” lyrics, cuz New Kids on the Block are reuniting, says people.com….The second grade version of my friend Chrissy will be sooooo excited. (She once took a picture of a poster of the band, complete with shoes holding it down, and tried convincing us she had met them)

Check out the hilarious comeback teaser video on their new website(THEY WERE THE BIGGEST BAND IN THE WORLD…THEY WALKED AWAY FROM IT ALL…MILLIONS OF FANS AWAIT THEIR RETURN), and start teasing you’re hair, because it looks like this is for real.

Also: One of the reports notes that Jonathan Knight is now a real estate developer in Worcester. Anyone know specific projects he has worked on?

WiFi Express

The on-time performance still sucks, but we’re absolutely pumped about the new WiFi service on the Worcester-Boston commuter rail line.  This is some serious stuff: The largest such WiFi deployment in the country so far.  It was always a pain to try to catch fleeting signals at individual stations and the “Worcester WiFi” that you can get at Union Station (and City Hall) is a pain in the ass if you don’t login on a regular basis, as you have to create a new account.

Did you use the WiFi this morning? How’d it work? Any bugs? Let us know in the comments.
