The councilors are debating the potential $1.2 billion EPA mandate on stormwater permitting…it’s a high-profile, controversial issue that if not fought off by the city could mean a load of money to the tax payers will be….

Bob Moylan just said that the city has not, despite efforts, been able to engage the EPA on the issue…

“Science we have on our side suggests there is no measurable benefit…that would say [this] is worth it,” says Moylan.

“There has to be indignation throughout this community…We’re never going to do this,” just proclaimed Councilor Rosen. What will happen if we don’t do this?

“Death by firing squad,” quips Moylan. Or around a “$25,000 a day” fine.

That’s $9 million a year Clancy says, calling a letter from EPA official Stephen Perkins “hogwash.”   “Civil disobedience needs to take a front seat on this issue,” says Clancy.
